Picture Upload, File Type and Virus Scan, and Retrieval via ASP 1) Create [login to view URL] which has three browse buttons for user to selct up to 3 images to upload. eg. <[login to view URL]> [login to view URL] does the following using a VB 5 COM object (dll): a) file type is .gif or .jpg b) file size is smaller than 50KB. c) scan files for for viruses. d) if a to c are ok, upload images else show appropriate error message and allow user to re-upload images. If images are uploaded, in the COM object, call a sql stored procedure to insert data into database. e) display uploaded images on [login to view URL] by autosizing pictures so they are all the same size (despite the real size of the original image uploaded) as in: <[login to view URL]> (click on listings that say "pic") 2) Create UploadPicture COM object in VB 5 which accepts these parameters imageName, imageId, ... (TBD) and returns imageName, imageId, ... (TBD) 3) [login to view URL] lists directory path and smalls thumbnails of all uploaded pictures If you prefer to write the COM component in C or another language, state your reasons and provide an explanation.
