This is a very quick project. It's simple and is using the Cepstral text 2 speech system.
The best way to use Cepstral voices in a web application is to make a system call to the swift command-line utility to generate an audio file on disk that you can then send or stream back to the client's web browser. This is all handled by the Cepstral application.
What I need is someone to embed the calls to the command line utility into a web browser. Ideally using php as this runs on a Windows server.
The final application runs as a kiosk type application and although it's using web technologies is not a public website. So it's installed and operates on a windows based laptop. Hence, the need to write this in php.
The application needs to do the following:
1. Take a user's text input (from a text box) and create the wav file (send the command to Cepstral's application which actually converts the text to a wav file and saves it to a specific location on the web server)
2. Um, that's it. I have some additional requirements, but I can go through these as options. Right now I just need this created.
You will have to send me the code to try on my pc. So either you're fine with this (check my ratings) or we can escrow 50% when you're done and 50% after I've checked that it works. The project leads to additional customization such as the ability to pick one of the audio files already generated so play.
Any questions, please ask. This project is urgent and needs to be done within 24 hours.
I've worked with cepstral before (in a different context - with the Asterisk PBX). I can handle this for you. Can be completed within 24 hours of when you accept my bid.
