Add ability for users to upload articles to existing website

I have a website DiyMods dot NET which is currently serving as a link directory to articles on other websites. I am looking for someone to integrate a system which users can upload their own articles (including pictures) to be stored on the site itself.
The site is based off the Esyndicat software which is open source and PHP / MySQL. You will need to integrate the new features into this. It should be noted that there is already an articles plugin available for esyndicat @ [url removed, login to view] however it doesn’t really work the way I want it to. If you wish you can base your work off of this script. Please let me know which route you choose to take.
Changes that will be Required
Front End
Upload Form
Users should be registered in order to upload an article
This should be integrated into the Menu Bar (blue) across the top of the page, ‘Upload DIY’
This form should be based on [url removed, login to view] dot net/[url removed, login to view] . The User should be able to select the car make and model the same way. Title should be the same. Listing URL is no longer required as the article will have its own URL (which should be SEO friendly). Description should remain. Then we need another box where the user can add their articles. This should be a WYSIWYG type environment where users can type and format their article directly. They also need the ability to add pictures. I require the pictures to be uploaded and stored on the server rather than linked from other websites. Preferably you will integrate some kind of system so that the images are displayed at a reasonable resolution (e.g. 640x 480 or 800x600 whichever fits the page best) when the article is viewed but clicking on the image will load the full resolution version. Email can be removed as the user will need to be logged in to post.
Individual Make / Model Pages e.g. [url removed, login to view] dot net/Acura/Integra/
Link to articles stored on the site should be displayed before the links to other websites. They should be displayed in the same manner as the links (Title, Description, URL not required, Report Listing, Favorite)
User Area
There will need to be a few tweaks to the user area (the page shown when the user has logged in) to show both existing links they have uploaded as well as any articles. Favorited articles should also show up in the users Favorites page
Back End
Articles should appear in the back end in the same way which the links (listings) do now where they need to be approved and can be edited from the backend. They should appear in a separate section on the main menu. Theses should also show up in the stats section. (How many live articles, how many waiting for approval etc.)
They are the main areas of the project, there may be other small changes which need to be made to make the system function properly which I have overlooked.
If you have any question please ask.
