We are a student association looking to upgrade our website usability. We currently use Joomla but we are thinking of updating the website layout to wordpress for content management usability. We need the following to be integrateable into our website, without having to go to a separate forum or something.
1. MEMBERSHIPS SIGNUP + MEMBERSHIP ONLY ONLINE CONTENT
As an association we need to collect data from our members and to also charge them a fee. We currently do this in person with paper forms, member fees in cash, and we manually type in each membership form.
We would like to have an online sign up system that is linked to a SECURE MEMBERSHIP DATABASE, and has a feature to uploading a signature (which is necessary for our association). and takes payments through paypal and visa and mastercard.
Our membership data is currently stored on an excel file, which we will need to move to this new database.
We want this membership database to be linked to members only content.
Members only content includes:
1. member-only accessible student notes (pdf files)
2. Electives database: this is a database that our members can access and edit. It is a database that contains experiences of different students travelling to different countries.
2. PAYMENT SYSTEM
Besides the membership fee, the association has a number of social events that we have payments for. We are looking to integrate something like [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] in that we want to take a payment and collect the data from our ticket buyers for each event. We also want to send the ticket buyers a receipt/confirmation.
We also sell member and non-member tickets. When we get ticket sales, we currently manually check whether the ticket buyers are members by searching their name through the database. We would like to have the option "Please sign in to receive your membership price" or something similar so we don't have to manually check this
