This project requires expertise in web design, css, Drupal, WordPress and migration activities between the two CMS' and web servers.
My project is to port a complete existing Drupal site and blog to WordPress. The existing Drupal site is 6 pages plus the blog (7 unique theme templates).
This project includes converting the css/design, migrating all content (and mysql database), plus installation of a WordPress plugin to support the existing Drupal photo gallery site functionality. WordPress 3.2.1 will be pre-installed and ready to work on.
Gallery Plugin: Something like WP-Gallery should work for the gallery plugin but should utilize jQuery and not flash so that the new design works on non-flash browsers. Wp-gallery supports this but others do as well if you have a preference.
There are seven existing unique pages on the drupal install that need to be replicated:
1) Home page design
2) Products Page
3) Gallery Page (has 5 unique galleries with total of approximately 52 total photos)
4) News & Resources Page (blog)
5) Distributors Page
6) About Page
7) Contact Page
All Drupal theme files share the same header and footer with slight variations on the body container/template on the pages. The gallery is the most different.
Ideally, the design of the WordPress pages and blog should be a pixel-for-pixel translation of the theme. Don't take this job if you don't have the skill to do this.
All code must be standards compliant and I'd prefer xhtml strict v1.0. Design must be compatible on IE 6 and above as as well as IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari for all major operating systems.
The winning candidate will have full access to the existing css, drupal template files and site content, and that of the new WordPress installation.
The design can be developed on your local server but your price must include uploading of all content, installation and testing of your work on our WordPress server.
Future projects are definitely an option for quality work.
Thanks very much.
