Experience with ActionScript is required and links to similar prior projects are a plus.
The goal is to create a dynamically generated Flash menu, which is set up by a configuration provided in JSON structure.
The desired menu functionality and animation are demonstrated in a static Flash demo on the project details page below. There are also detailed specifications about the layout. The result of the bid should be a SWF Flash menu (see deliverables list) which will receive its configuration through JSON and generate the menu based on that configuration. All input data is provided in JSON structure (see example at the URL below), and it's up to the developer to decide how this data will be imported in the Flash movie (FlashVars, XML, other viable options).

Full source code (FLA, JavaScript, HTML)
Compiled and fully-functional product test cases illustrating the capabilities (long menu item names, many menu items, long sub-menus, etc)
Documentation - clearly written, about 2-3 pages, including:
1. theory of operation - describing the link between the SWF and the page (be it XML, FlashVars, etc.), brief description of how the menu is created inside the SWF (duplication of items, assignment of properties, animation), description of the Flash behavior in the page (how the Flash acts when there are more items than it can fit in its starting size, how it interacts with other layers)
2. setup instructions - any special instructions about the set up of the menu, files on the server, etc.
3. other important notes - whatever else should be noted about the final product

Product should work in IE 6, Firefox 2 and Safari 2 and their respective newer versions. Flash player 8 or 9.
