The project is a development of a Wordpress website (knowledge of PHP, MySQL, CSS, AJAX required) with the following main functionalities/modules:
- product catalogue with the possibility to add products to basket and then order them (no online payment/processing!); the buyer just fills out a form and sends the order, which is then written into a database and sent by e-mail to the company as a notification.
- news (posts in WP),
- product search (WP),
- mega menu for product groups (5 different drop-downs with pictures and styled text - should be fully editable/customizable independent of site structure),
- secondary menu with links to About the company, News and Contact.
- about 14 other content pages (text+pics+embeds in different layouts/templates, nothing complicated) including the home page.

::: PRODUCTS :::
The products are structured into categories, each product can be present in multiple categories. The client should be able able to create custom categories (with adding multiple products to them) in WP back-end.
Some of the product categories will have articles displayed above products. When there is more than one article in a category there will be a list of past articles in the sidebar.
The product page has the usual data fields: product image, name, description, characteristics, etc. Some of the product will have sub-variations, e.g. the same product will be available in different sizes/weights and the data fields will then change - we will talk later in more detail about the best solution to do this.
The "4 Most wanted produts" module - you'll see one on the home page and one on the product page at the bottom, doesn't require any algorithms. Both should be editable in a way that the client can define the 4 products in the back-end; we'll talk about the details later.
::: OTHER :::
About the company: this group of 10 pages has a sub-menu in the sidebar, to switch between them.
Sidebars on sub-pages can be done either a WP sidebar widgets or in another way; they will be the same for groups of content pages and product categories.
The design features background images on the sides of the central content area - these are sticky to the viewport and are visible when the viewport is large enough - if it is not, they are not visible. There will be a couple of these images and they will be randomized.
Some of the content pages are not yet designed, but they are simple (like contact page, news article, news archive) and/or will follow a similar layout as the existing pages.
The e-newsletter order form in the site will be processed by a 3rd party, so no need to have e-mailing functionality, we just the e-mail address to a script and display a Thank you notification.
For some functionalities I expect you to suggest which WP plugins would be required, meaning we can either buy & adapt a plugin - or you can code the functionality from scratch, as long as it works and is editable in the WP back-end.
The site is in the Slovenian language for now; two language versions will follow in a couple of months after launch, but the content scope will be a bit different, so there is at this time no need to have multi-language functionality.
News: 2 templates required, a list of news articles and a news article page (title, image (gallery option), text).
::: PROJECT MANAGEMENT :::
The expected time for total project realisation is 2 weeks, by then the site should be ready to go live. As soon as rough product page template and WP database is ready, content input should begin - you will be expected to input the content pages, input of about 120 products will be done by another person.
I expect attention to detail, regular status updates and daily communication through Skype/chat/email to realise this project smoothly and in time.
When the job is awarded, you will get the PSD files of the design & further detailed instructions.
