52386 Excellent Graphics f/website

Graphic designer needed for a website. The scope of the project that is needed: look and feel for a new website pretty much from scratch. I can supply you with an email of an artist who has created at least a strat for the site that I find interesting. the "logo" on the site will be only font treatment, have a start that is possible to work with. Forms and the calendar may be a part of this project. We need a graphic designer who specializes in webdesign that can create a fun look while still making the site look realistic. The entire site is about fun things to do, connecting with fun people, an interactive calendar, parties, communities, doing things you love to do, etc.. Much of the site will be dynamically driven by the database (ie invitations to parties, feeds from the calendar, blog, photos, so we will have changing information to fill fields, we need the template that will hold the changing information. Each of these site utilizes so form of "boxes" which information can then go into. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] My initial thought is that the layout will be somewhat like: navigation tabs across the top left-hand will hold a Blog, and featured events section left-center will have white space for selling the site right and center will be a large event invitation (like the graphic on the target site) Right hand side of the page will be an area for 5 sponsors, we like the treatment of the "special Reports on the bottom right of [login to view URL] ) below and center could be photos from events and then below that 3 "boxes" with various info sources (see [login to view URL] the section with birthday party, night on the town, etc.. One thing that is very important for the home page will be a photo gallery will several revolving images Colors & fonts that we are looking at presently: colors: magenta #e0208a lime #8ac63f yellow #ffe808 orange #faa522 fonts: berlin sans poplar std subwaylondon Notes and tips: The site is for single people, not an internet dating site but a party, calendar and event site. Everyone knows that the couple and "activity" photos on dating sites are fake (and many of the profile photos are not correct), our photos are real and our people meet face to face, so that eliminates a big minus of the web - which is people are never like they have portrayed themselves. So, if we can get across the idea that this is "real" fun and safe we have done something no one else is doing. PS one idea of a design: you know the photos that you take in photo booths (they still have those, right? If not the idea is people would get in a booth and pull the curtain and then pay typically $1 per photo and act goofy - now that I think about it, I haven't seen one in awhile...) okay, thinking photos, what if we made a header with the look of a piece of "film" a long , curvy strip with the little holes along the edge and photo "stiles" within each block, the trick on this is to keep it from looking "usual" we go with a purple or orange or some vivid color that does not look like black film. This is where we display our rolling photo section PPS And for something completely different, the calendar treatment is very interesting and I can see doing something like that with someone's address book since we are all about helping people find things to do and create events for them.
