While I don't have direct experience with SBS as such the project is really about the introduction of an additional Domain Controller within your Windows domain and then transferring the requisite roles to it and then to demote the SBS server as a DC. I have years of experience of managing Windows Active Directory and the regular adding/removing of domain controllers within the AD.
