I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - there is necessary the design and (i assume) the prototype... which are two separate things. we could talk about the design in the first step, and if ok with this, we will figure out how to make it real 2 - what kind of mechanism do you need to be used - lever type or pinion and rack system? (with a pinion and rack system will have a longer travel of the head) 3 - do you have any specs regarding the size/dimensions/force/travel etc? 4 - any precision required for the guiding system/part? 5 - do you have any specs about how the head to be attached to the column?
