Ubuntu Linux - Recording webcam video for smooth fast forward playback when streaming to mobile. Using a Logitech C920 webcam to record MP4 video using built-in H264 encoder 1080p at 30fps with cvlc. Unable to change defaults for: Keyframe (i-frame) from every 10 seconds. Bitrate from 3000000 bits/second. Playback at 8x speed with default values is not smooth using vlc. Need to know how to change defaults when recording or different webcam/software that will work smoothly on Linux.

Hello, Maybe you should use another recording software. Personally, I prefer Cheese. Or, maybe, you need to use another Linux distro. Mine is right now Manjaro Linux. Have you tried Avidemux? Best regards, Razvan
