get data transfered from messed up centos server (directadmin panel) or fix grub and other commands tools

We have done a terrible mistake, and our server is messed up , because of rm -rf /* command. So nothing really works But, i need data copied out of hard disk , to create a restore on similar system. homes and databases seems intact, so probably if we can use rsync , or make grub load again, or /etc/passwd , we can enter server and get the data of homes and user out we I got live dvd working in kvm, and managed to get ssh working over live cd (but now hangs, and murphies law, remote power / pdu is dead too, so need to wait until datacenter wil reboot it for me, then we can start) I installed server already , so try to get 2 versions of php running, must have 5.2 (trying now) when booted from hdd all commands not work because bin/bash , ewtc/passwd gone , so directadmin login not work either . rsync not work ioteher. so we need a way to get files files to other server
