Before the internet (and the wide use of TCP/IP), I wrote C code to interface with PLC over RS232. I already implemented one of RS232 Siemens protocol to interface with it's PLC. It's just a matter of using this knowleage to make it as part of a firmware software.

I have worked on embedded projects for over 4 years. i have modbus protocol knowledge. As most of indian industrial project handles Modbus Protocol for DATA handling. i have worked with Modbus RTU and TCP/IP protocol, have handled library for same. I have worked on Texas Cortex M4 series and LPC17xx Cortex M3 series, for 8051 i have worked on Silab 8051 controllers. I am looking forward to work on this project.
