Full Stack Engineer, Subscriptions.

The Stripe Subscriptions team creates software tools which enable subscription-based businesses to build and operate recurring business models processing in aggregate billions of dollars per year. These tools are considered core components for the Stripe Billing product suite: a robust set of building blocks which may be combined in creative ways to run almost any type of business on Stripe. We’re looking for engineers who can help build the next generation of Stripe’s subscription APIs. Your work will enable new types of businesses to run on our platform, at greater scale, while maintaining an extremely high bar for reliability and usability. You Will Design and implement elegant APIs, user experiences, and the underlying infrastructure for a critical and highly visible product at Stripe. Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end. Be actively involved in strategic direction and product decisions. Work closely with our highly technical users to understand their needs and build products to help them be more successful on Stripe. Debug production issues across services at multiple levels of the stack. You May Be a Fit For This Role If You have a strong technical background, with at least two years of experience building impactful products end to end. You are customer focused and have some experience designing APIs, or with consumer product development. You enjoy modeling challenges and have a high bar for keeping your solutions expressive yet simple to use. You have an ability to collaborate in a fast paced environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts. You Might Work On Building foundational APIs to help users model their business on Stripe by combining core primitives in new and interesting ways. Building Subscription workflows and user interfaces accessed by millions of customers worldwide, with a high bar for design, fit and finish. Designing architecture which scales for high growth as well as sudden, high volume spikes during peak times.
