FCM - background fetch upon push messages - trouble shooting

The App receives PushMessages via FCM. Then Background fetch downloads the messages such that when user taps on push message its already visible in the open App. Two problems need to be fixed: 1.) This only works sometimes. Sometime background fetch is not started. All push message arrive tough. 2.)Sometimes I have the following compiler error: "nw_socket_get_input_frames recvmsg(fd 4, 1024 bytes): [57] Socket is not connected" Important requirement: If you have sample code which performs such a background fetch then we can compare to my code.
