Hi Freelancers!
I need to translate five files from English to Portuguese. I'm looking for a native translator so you must be from Portugal, Brazil or a Portuguese person living somewhere else. Do not apply to this project if you do not have enough computer experience. Kindly post something about yourself and your translating experiences.
The total length is about 105000 characters including spaces or 15000 words. The topic is investing (forex) so it is good if you are familiar with some terminology.
You will get five files in a plaintext format (.php), to explain some important things:
- the uploaded files are a text file which can be opened in any text editor (PSPad, Notepad, Komodo, Netbeans)
- it can be opened in MS Word if you really want to, but REMEMBER that it MUST NOT(!!!) BE SAVED AS DOC OR DOCX file (save it as plaintext in UTF8 encoding)
- if you can differentiate between formal and informal language (such as du/Sie in German), please use the FORMAL version
- there are a lot of synonyms (rise/increase/gain). PLEASE try to translate them truthfully and not always to the same word.
- the text is in a format similar to this:

- For all files except one ([login to view URL]), If you'd need to use apostrophes in your text, you must always write \ before them. So instead of don't you would always write don't. Do not do it in [login to view URL] but do it in all other files. In every text editor you can use Ctrl+H to "search and replace" if you want to make it automatic or check that you didn't miss anything.
One file is in a SQL format and you're supposed to translate ONLY text and title and KEEP everything else as it [login to view URL] it looks like the example below and you would only translate the second and third thing ('Here is a text you must translate' and 'Here is a title you must translate'):

As you can see, you should not edit the formatting such as tags, quotes and brackets, only the text.

I'd love to do that translation for you. I'm an professional English/Portuguese/Spanish translator and proofreader from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Portuguese is my first language and I have great command over the trio EN/PT/ES of languages. I've been translating for quite some years now and before that I was a software developer for almost a decade. It's all a passion for languages I guess, both human and computer languages.
My background in programming gave me a great deal of familiarity with most languages, SDKs, IDEs and content encoding, so I can guarantee the delivery of perfectly functional files. As a matter of fact, two of my last jobs here were the translation of a website (PublicityFlix) using an online editor, and the Portuguese translation for the Net Control 2 software using their own UTF-8 encoded preferences files.
