Freelance Interactive Web Designer and/or Front End Developer

Found it Digital is looking for a Freelance Interactive Designer and Front End Developer. We’re looking to work with someone who has the creative eye and technical capability to design, code, and test web functionality in order to meet the needs of various website projects on a contract basis. As an Interactive Designer and Front End Developer you’ll work closely with the Digital team to create custom templates for Shopify, Squarespace and Wordpress websites. Ideally we’d love for this to be one person, but if you’re a designer without the technical side or a developer without the creative side, we’d still love to hear from you! In this role you’ll be working closely with the digital team and our clients to translate their ideas and user requirements into sitemaps, wireframes, moodboards, and design comps. You’ll need to be able to create and present effective design solutions while following a design brief, content strategy, and brand identity standards. You’ll also be responsible for coding website designs using standards compliant HTML, CSS and Javascript (jQuery) and integrating them with various content management systems. Or, if coding is not in your wheelhouse, you’re able to effectively communicate your design to developers via detailed Adobe Photoshop or XD mockups. Our ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team and be comfortable collaborating on multiple projects. We’re looking for someone with exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage your own time and give accurate time estimates. This person can be located anywhere in the U.S. and will be on-call as needed to meet project requirements. Technical Skills Information Architecture, Sitemaps, Navigation, Prototyping, Wireframes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery — PHP and JSON-T would be great, too! Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Shopify, Squarespace and Wordpress Qualifications 2 to 4 years of professional experience designing and coding websites Detailed Requirements -Produce hours estimates and scopes of work from bullet point requirement specs -Review project briefs and research client’s website and business -Deliver and assist clients in the completion of business and design surveys -Conduct content audits of client websites and marketing materials -Discuss and present project strategy and tactical options with the client -Recommend sitemap sections and pages based on discovery resources -Create navigation layouts and outlines based on sitemap recommendations -Quickly prototype complex website features -Discuss and present architecture options with the client -Format and clean up low quality logo, photo, and copy assets -Enter content to website pages and modules using chosen CMS -Find and purchase stock photography and typography -Work with copywriters on content development deliverables -Search for inspirational website examples -Find typography, colors, photography, textures and icons options -Produce and revise moodboards and design comps -Get and translate creative feedback from team members and clients -Discuss and present deliverables with the client -Create, test, and install exact HTML/CSS templates chosen CMS -Set up web pages, menus, and other website components on chosen CMS -Configure modules, e-commerce, and marketing components on chosen CMS -Test and review completed websites before delivering to the client -Discuss and present website with the client -Create written documentation, produce screencast presentations, or conduct live training --session for clients on how to update website content as needed
