Build an interactive sankey chart preferrably using Microsoft powerbi -- 2

We're a university that wants an interactive data visualization that the main topics that faculty are working on, where they do their research, and what methods they use. We want to be able to see what shared topics emerge. One of our staff got very intrigued with this idea and led the work on producing a beta using microsoft powerpi. His betas of it were so good that when he posted some of his work on linked it, it actually got him a job elsewhere! So now, we need to complete the visualizations using a full data base. .
