Convert .png or .psd file to .dst format

We have two simple images that need to be converted from either a .png or .psd file format to .dst format for embroidery. The design shop was trying to charge us $80 to convert the images and that's outrageous. It's my understanding that the files can be converted easily if you have embroidery software, which we don't own.
