I am very interested in this position. I have been a contract developer for the past two decades. I have every certification which FileMaker has offered and I've been a speaker at the annual FileMaker Developer's Conference. Some projects I have worked on-site and others I have worked remotely, and see the advantages to both. I am growing tired of moving every few years and I would like to find a position which would eventually allow me to move back to Tennessee, as my folks are no longer as young as the used to be.
Since I've been doing this so long, I had thoughts which each one of your requirements; which exceeded the character limit for this 'proposal', so please allow me to send a Word doc with my responses. I will also my resume, which should give you a pretty good idea that I didn't simply pick up FileMaker last week. Actually, I started with FileMaker Plus in 1988 and have the 'war stories' to prove it. Projects for Apple, Hasbro, State of California, State of Washington, Hasbro, Eli Lilly, Neiman Marcus, and many others.
This doesn't sound like a 7 day project, and money should be a separate conversation; but at this stage I would like to at least ask for an interview. Even if you don't select me, I feel that you will likely learn something about FileMaker. I am a firm believer that it is easier to get an impression of someone over the phone than in a carefully crafted email.
Thanks,
Joe
