Hello there! My name is Aleks and I think I might be the man for the job. You haven't been clear about the genre of the pilot, but since you mentioned that the pilot is going to be around 30 pages long I think it's safe to assume that it's a comedy. This is how I envision your comedy pilot: COLD OPEN A giant family fight about seemingly nothing that we'd use to display the dysfunctional nature of the family. ACT ONE We use a large chunk of the first act to familiarise the audience with the members of the family, introduce every character in an unique way that displays their nature and the connections they share with one another. And at the end of the first act... they win the lottery. ACT TWO We use the first half to show their excitement. I mean, they just won the lottery for God's sake. They deserve to be happy for a while. The second half is used to display their realisation that winning so much money might not be a good thing for their family after all.
