Coordinate logistics for educational workshop in conjunction with new book launch

The goal of this project is the planning and coordination of activities for the professional education course based on Treating the Traumatized Child: A Step by Step Family Systems Approach by Scott Sells, Ph.D. Dr. Sells currently hosts webinars and, in the past, has hosted half and full day workshops for continuing education requirements (CEUs). Dr. Sells has a basic format for the workshop and is seeking planning support to set-up event logistics including:

• Work with Dr. Sells to identify a location and date for the event

• Develop, or oversee the freelance development of, a promotional brochure

• Identify and coordinate the purchase of relevant mailing lists the promotional materials

• Work with a direct mailing company such as PsPrint or VistaPrint to send out event brochure

• Process course registrations

• Submit course payments to a member of Dr. Sells’ staff or use Eventbrite

• Secure a facility for the course and handle arrangements for the event (food & beverage, audio/visual, hotel, air, travel, onsite transportation, etc.)

• Identify an onsite volunteer (i.e. attendee(s) assisting for a discounted course rate)

• Identify and submit three quotes for direct mailing companies and event facility

• Keep detailed record of activities performed to assist in planning future events

Job is flexible, part-time, temporary and requires experience with event planning and telecommuting.
