The goal is to monitor water tank levels(Full,75,50,25, Empty) and control the water pump as per levels. There will be two units : > One is at the rooftop tank which consists of a level sensor and an rf transceiver. > Another one is at the ground level where the water pump is connected to the electricity which consists of an rf transceiver and relay circuit and Level indicators and buzzer. The system works in two modes: Auto mode > on level change, Tank sensor reads level and transmits to the ground station, ground station update the level indicator if the level is full and the water pump is on it will turn it off or if the tank is empty and the motor is off it will turn on the water pump. Manual Mode > On level change, Tank sensor reads level and transmits to the ground station, ground station update the level indicator and if the level is full or empty it gives buzzer alarm for 30 sec or till water pump is not turned off. The rooftop unit must be battery powered and should have a battery life of 2 years or a solar charging provision.

Hello how are you. You can create the project with arduino, in the sensor of the elevated tank, by the consumptions of the RF card if it is necessary to recharge the battery, for this a solar cell would be used. In the cistern there is no problem also an RF is used. An ultrasonic sensor can be used for the levels, with a maximum sensing distance of 4 meters and an accuracy of 1 mm. To see the levels, use a 2X16 display that can show the fill% with a range of 2%.
