In my business it is often practical to prepare the base of walls with compacted aggregate. To do so, a human operator manually manipulates a pneumatic tamper or a pneumatic vibrating plate before the formwork is put in place.
I would like detailed engineer design drawings for a semi-autonomous movable gantry pneumatic tamper using off the shelf hardware, available in the USA with the following operational ranges:
Y Axis Range: 0' - 24' functional (please design it scalable in 6' sections)
X Axis Range: 0' - 3' functional (please design it with automatic stops every 6" off center that can be used to limit range of motion)
Y Axis Range: 0'-24' functional (please design it scalable in 8' sections")
Please use A/C assumptions for all electronics. I do not want a complex computer interface for this iteration but rather a simple control system that can be set to repeat movements within project specific ranges based on the physical placement of certain sensors or simple control panel.
If it helps, imagine a CNC moveable gantry router. This will operate similarly but instead of having a router motor it will have a pneumatic tamper and be limited consistent pattern along the pre-set axis'.
