Wifi signal timeout when idle

Solution for Router timeout We have a router connected to a hotspot provider (social hotspot provider). When users connect to the routers signal, everything works just fine. But when the user leaves the phone (not waking it up) for 5 minutes, the user wont be able to receive notifications for text messages and text messages wont be shown on the screen and any other background activity that requires internet connection stops after 5 minutes (the connection times out), however, when the person unlock their phone, the phone connects to the same wifi signal and the user would receive messages and everything starts working as its supposed to. We need a solution for that time out problem (we need the user to receive messages and messages notifications long after they lock their phones and put them away) Any ideas?
