Technology to be used C# and Dot Net :
There will be a Simple Window Form which will have two fields one is Text Box and another is Text area.
1. When someone types into them, all the user's key strokes are captured and then mapped with the corresponding Hex Values (Unicode) of the "Non-English" charaters that displays the corresponding "Non-English" characters on Textbox or Text area.
2. All user keys that normally produces characters (such as a-z, A-Z, 0-9, Symbols etc needs to be captured. I found there are 2x47 keys ( Upper and Lower case).
3. Rest of the keys such as Tab, Shift, Capslock, Ctrl, Alt, Backspace etc, should not be captured but left to function normally.
4. I would suggest to create a Mapset ( key values pair) that is loaded when the apps is initialized as the Mapset will be read-only.
5. If there is a Key in the Mapset and there is no value, or one of the above captured keys have no entry, then there would be no output sent to the Textbox or Text area.
6. If a Key in the Mapset has multiple Hex values ( with space as delimiter), then the value must be parsed and each Hex values must be sent to the Textbox or Text Area.
7. Finally there is someway to enable or disable the Input Method, to work for a Text Box or Text area. For example, I want the Textbox to be Non-English Enabled and for Text Area I want the English only ( Some config file or Flag can be used in the code).
I will provide the mapping for few Hex values and Key/Code for testing purpose. So that we both know it is working.
This small Demo Apps should be built in such a way that, the code can be reused and integrated with our Actual Application ( which is in C# and Dot Net) without any issue.
Should work on: Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10.
