Open–closed principle:- Software entities should be open for extension, but closed for modification. Liskov substitution principle:- Objects in a program should be replaceable with instances of their subtypes without altering the correctness of that program. Interface segregation principle:- Many client-specific interfaces are better than one general-purpose interface. Dependency inversion principle:- One should depend upon abstractions. 2) The MVVM format with data-binding is designed specifically to allow the view and model to communicate directly with each other Whereas the MVC format is specifically designed to create a separation of concerns between the model and view 3) We are not familiar with DIC frmaework 4) The DRY principle is stated as, "Every piece of knowledge or logic must have a single, unambiguous representation within a system." SOLID is a set of 5 rules to follow to write good software easy to manage and maintain code. MVC gives more decoupling by introducing a controller to manage the interaction between the model and the view, which give more flexibility but more complexity. I'm not sure what you mean by DIC framework DRY is a best practice principle refers to the repetitive code, it encourages developers to write refactored code that shows only once to improve reusability and maintainability of the code. 1. What is SOLID and the 'golden rule' to use it or not to. SOLID is a set of rules specified in order to ensure we will create loose-coupled software. The golden rule to use it or not basically is if the responsabilities in the classes never will change, it's better to don't apply it in order to avoid more complexity in the code. 2. What is the difference between MVC and MVVM? Both patterns are intensively used by ASP .Net, Silverlight and WPF. MVC = Model View Controller. It is also a way to separate concerns on the server side. MVVM = Model View View Model. its more frequently used as a client - side implementation. MVC is more used with ASP .Net and MVVM is more used with Silverlight or WPF 3. Which is your preferred DIC framework and why? 4. What is DRY principle and when to use it and when not to. DRY Is the acronym for Don't Repeat Your self... It's a principle used in software development oriented to reducing the repetition of software patterns by the use of abstraction or data normalization to get rid of the redundancy or avoid it.

1. SOLID is an acronym for five design principles one need to follow to produce human-readable, extendable and failure-proof code. I don't know about the "golden rule" that can give a green light to violate SOLID. Maybe it is the app purposefulness. If we have to employ some legacy modules, and the only way to make our app conform the purpose is to violate SOLID, then we have to violate it. 2. Both patterns were designed to connect View and Model in a way the view and the model don't need to know about each other. In MVC - Controller directly manipulates the data for the target model. In MVVM - ViewModel acts as a data binder between View and Model. 3. OpenCV - Because it is available for most platforms and programming languages, provides many tools, gets updates, has a huge community. 4. DRY - Don't Repeat Yourself. Means that all duplicated code must be extracted to some higher abstraction level. Ideally there must not be any code duplications. I think this principle should be used always.

Where the change of the component does not affect the behavior I : When defining an interface it should be in such a way that user should not be forced implement interfaces which are not required D: Dependency Inversion Principle also known as dependency injection where the back end implementation is abstracted away from the front end.
