The purpose of this lab project is to implement a fully functional wireless sensor
network, using either TelosB or Iris motes, to localise either a candle like light
source, or a heat source such as a lighter. This does not need to be over a large area. An area of 2m x 2m will be adequate. The source will not move quickly so sampling at a frequency of 2Hz should be appropriate. The sensor nodes will be placed in known positions so that the distance and orientation between each of them is known. You can assume that the height of the source relative to the sensors is constant.
Objectives
a.A sensor node program that sleeps, samples and then transmits.
b. A collection program to run on a mote connected PC. The tinyOS
serialForwarder should suffice.
c. A data presentation program running on the PC. At a minimum this should
estimate the distance from each sensor to source. Text is acceptable but a
graphical representation will earn you more marks
