We have a need for a unique membership and notification system to tie into our e-commerce capabilities. Our e-commerce system will need to work in perfect sync with our membership system. So changes to it will have to be done. Our payment gateway is [login to view URL] and Pay-Pal. Our site is about selling property ads. Ads consist of For Sale, For Rent, and Timeshare properties. Our real estate agents known simply as Agents and our Real Estate Investors known simply as investors can sale or rent every type of property from Residential Homes to Commercial property to Apartments and Vacation homes. Our membership model is this: Agents/Investors can sign-up for 5 different membership levels. They are: Level 1 - Bronze Level 2 - Pewter Level 3 - Silver Level 4 - Gold Level 5 - Platnium Each membership level gives the agent/investor certain rights and features to our application. These rights are set up by us in our web administration where we can decide on price, number of ads, whether or not the member can upload a photo of themselves, a logo of their company, and how long the membership can last as well as a few more features. This part of the site is already built, but we need the developer to get the bugs out. We also need E-mail reminders notifications that go out to the members (Agent/Investors) for when they decide to Renew or Changes their membership accounts, expiration of memberships, expiration of property ads, or forgotten username and passwords to membership accounts. We want the ability to change the wording of these notifications on the fly. Therefore, we have purchased an online editor that we want implanted inside our web administration. This online editor will use special tags such as #fname#, #lname# where we can pull the information from our SQL Server to mail merge the items and make each notification that goes out seem personal. I have made examples of this notification module that I would like put inside our web administration area. We also need an interface built inside our current Agent/Investor Administration area that allows the agent or investor to renew or upgrade their membership status and a way for the Agent or Investor to renew expiring property ads. Actually part of the interface is built already, but we need some more work done on it and the bugs worked out. Our application is set up to where members get a certain amount of ads that they can post depending on the membership they choose. For example, we (the Website Admins) might set Membership Level 1 where the member gets 5 ads and Membership Level 2 where the member gets 10 ads. What we need is for our application to add the ads together if the member changes or renews their account and send an email reminder out to tell the agent/investor how many ads they now have. In other words, just because a member renews or changes their accounts does not mean that they loose the ads they already had, instead they carry over (or get added to) the membership they changed or renewed. This is true for the members time as well. For example, if Agent X signed up for a Membership Level 1 consisting of 5 ads and later on they find out they need more ads they can renew their Membership to get another 5 ads. This would then give Agent X a total of 10 ads. If this is still not enough ads and the Agent feels that he also wants more features, then he can opt to upgrade his membership to a Membership-Level 3 which for our example lets say it is 30 ads. If Agent X does this, then he would now have a total of 40 ads and all of the features of a Level 3 membership. As Agent X posts properties through the Agent/Investor Administration area, his ads get expended. Therefore, a counter is used to subtract the number of ads the Agent has used. So if Agent X has 40 ads and posts 3 properties, he would then have 37 ads remaining. We need the Agent Member to be able to see this in our website and also receive an email reminder for remainder ads he/she has left once he/she renews or changes their membership status. The members term length also gets added if they change or renew their memberhip. Term means time. So if a Level 1 membership had a term length of 30 days and they renewed their membership for a Level 1 they would then get another 30 days. 30 + 30 = 60 days Of course a counter would be necessary here also as the time can make a members account expire just as easy as if the member runs out of ads. Its a two part membership system that works on both time and number of ads. Since our memberships also have term lengths we need reminders to go out to them when they are within 10 days from expiring. For example, Agent X's Level 1 membership may last 6 months while Agent Y's Level 2 membership may last 12 months. When these term lengths come within 10 days from expiring, they will need an email reminder notification that goes out to remind them that they need to renew or change their membership accounts or they can no longer post ads to our website. We also need a Payment History interface to tell the Agent/Investor what ads he/she posted and what ads are already Inactive or are within 3 days of Inactivation. This will allow the Agent to pay the Per-Ad-Rate which is the amount we set in our web admin for a single property posting or the price to extend an already posted property. Our application is set up to allow a property ad to run for 90 days. After the 90 days we need the Agent to renew if their property has not been sold or rented. If the Agent does not renew the property ad, then the ad is placed in an Inactive status for 45 days. This allows the Agent/Investor a little time before they have to decide to extend (pay the per-ad rate) or not. If after 45 days and the Agent/Investor still has not extended the property ad, then our database will automatically delete it from our system. I have made a demo for this as well, but it is subject to change because I don't know if it is the best idea or not. Use "rpatillo" and "admin" to see the Agent Administration area. You will see that there has been some work done but nothing is quite complete. We need to make sure the following things work and are complete: 1) Agent/Investors need to be able to Renew or Change their Memberships 2) Agent/Investors need to be able to Extend posted ads so they do not expire. 3) Agents/Investors need to see how many ads they have remaining in their account and how much time their membership has before expiration. 4) Agent/Investors need to get notifications to let them know when their membership or properties expire. So in short we need a developer that can do all of these things and tie it into our payment gateways so we can receive payment. Most of what we need already exists, but tying it all together and getting the bugs out is where are problems are and need to be fixed. We also need someone to build the Payment History Module and Notifications Module as per my example. We need a competant developer to make the modules and tie them in with our Agent/Investor Administration, our Web Administration, and our E-commerce System and make sure everything works correctly. We need the complete e-commerce system and membership sytem to be bug free and work as designed and we need to make sure our site is fast. Past developers have slowed the site down considerably with their code. We will also need the developer to fix it so our site is fast again and that they use as little roundtrips to the server as possible. Because it is impossible to describe every little detail about our project needs, we need a developer that is understanding and willing to walk through with us as we tell them what needs to be done. So whoever bids on this project needs to be very sure they can do it and do it fast within 4 to 7 days and that they pay attention to detail. We love ideas from our developers and finding the easiest way to do things, but we know what we want so if your idea is to change our minds don't even attempt it. This is important!!! Also the developer will be required to show progress every day and provide us an email everyday as to what has and has not been completed. Very Important!!! I can't stress this enough. The reports don't have to be long. Just as long as you tell us where you are in the development and we can see the progress of the project is coming along. Before the developer even starts on the project they will be required to chat with us so we can walk them through the site and the fixings to explain to them in detail what we need. This chat will be over computer if the developer is overseas or if the developer is from the USA then we will call the developer as long as they have a phone by their computer. ATTTENTION TO DETAIL AND FAST SERVICE IS WHAT WE NEED. ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE??? IMPORTANT NOTICE We can not and will not pay developers in advance for any of our projects. We have been burned too many times by developers not doing the work or not doing quality work. It is because of work that has not been completed that we find ourselves in the situation we are in now and we have learned our lesson not to pay up front for any of our projects. Therefore, we will not pay any developer for work not completed. Everything that is in this bid notice needs to be done as described. We will not ask for other work other than what is in this bid. So be sure you read it very carefully and you are very sure you can do the work. We are not afraid to pay in full, but we want daily communication, fast and reliable service and the best product you can give us.
