Unplug the references using apex during user deactivation

Hey, Looking at your requirement, I think it can be done using apex. However before going to solution we need few clarifications like the number of places where user will associated is fixed or it may vary. The best way to achieve this would be using an Apex trigger. When a user is deactivated, we can find all points where the user has been assigned. We can create a dummy user in salesforce who would replace all the users that get deactivated. This dummy user can have the organisations's corporate email, so that this user is not being owned by any particular individual. Also, whenever a user is deactivated, we can create logs/records to store what all references have been replaced by this dummy user, so that we have a place where we could go and check what all changes occurred when a user got deactivated. I aim to code in a way that once i hand over, the code should be so generic that you won't need code changes again. And also make the code as user friendly as possible. I would need 1 day to create the dummy user, and code for updating the inactivated user's reference with this new dummy user. The other day i would need to log the changes that happened when user got deactivated. And also to test.
