Not that it is related but I have been trying to motivate my kid learn math and science through all sorts of things including having her help me with a motivational animation for their MTB team, so I believe I understand the challenges you are facing. If you are indeed considering building multiple animation videos it will probably make sense to start with something simple and if you like the work and the work process - discuss longer term plans.
