Dear Client, I read your post on Freelancer with interest and would like to bid on it here. I am an experienced German>English translator and editor (and former nurse) living in the US, and have worked on a similar project in the past, that is, doing online investigation for a client who needed to find medical clinics in German- speaking countries that could help a relative of his find treatment. (My specialty is medical translation, although I also do a lot of cultural material and history.) This work requires me to be proficient in "finding things" on line. I grew up in the USA speaking English and German, and then spent around 25-30 years living, working, and studying in German-speaking countries, including Switzerland (Canton Basel and Canton Zuerich), among other things. In fact at one point I worked as a nurse in the Basel area for 1 and 1/2 years, so I do know something about the country. It would be interesting to hear if you have a particular area of Switzerland in mind, when starting the search...it's not a large country, but very diverse! I would be happy to discuss this project with you further, and get an idea of your expectations regarding the timeline involved (deadline?). Also, although the sites may be build by Swiss people, when writing German, standard German recognizable anywhere is used, in Switzerland, as dialect is hard to write and would not be used for any official site.
