Indirect connection between 2 computers using a medium( router, cloud or hard disk)

Hello So of what I have understood, you need some kind of push server or may be two of them but I need more information. Suppose we have pushed the data from one computer to the medium and from medium to next computer, is "Displaying" the only action we want. Can it be a video that needs be played or a file that needs to be just stored. Do we want the action on the other side without the permission of the user? Do we get to program the medium? All of those thing are possible and can be done but we will need to talk a bit for me to pick your brain so that I can deliver exactly what you need.
