We have a model designed in Maya (and also in Sketchup) that is a highly curved object. It's a modern catamaran boat. See attached image. I work with 2D and 3D CAD quite a bit, but I use solid modeling... surface modeling is tricky for me, and I'm not very good at it. I've been trying various methods to scan my face (and the faces of my children) using the new 'photo scanners' online, but I've had very undesirable results. My goal is to be able to print 3D models of our faces with my 3D printer (a Replicator 2), and to use Poser to adjust facial expressions for these prints.
