Hello, I have a couple precast concrete products that I would like to value engineer and verify through the use of ANSYS finite element analysis software. I have our current designs but would like to reduce the reinforced steel content in the concrete and possibly the grade of cement used. I will provide the forces and loading on the products. The products are precast u-ditches and box culverts. I would like to value engineer 3 different sizes of u-ditches and 3 different sizes of box culverts. HI to all i want to have cfd aerodynamic of a car ( Old beetle ) i have some models but there are all in 3ds max (mesh not solid) some of them have convert them to iges and sat with mesh to solid program i tried to use ansys , enshight but had no result as i dont know anything from that (i dont have the knowledge to setup something like that) as it is for my personal use (hobby) and my blog i cant afford lot of money i would like a ready setup so can change values time to time... or just only the analysis with video and pictures

HI, Would require the help to translate Simpleware's .IGES file to surfacer to break down into point clouds with optimum number of layers before putting into ANSYS to mesh up using a maximum of 6 keypoints per layer. IGES will be in parts and required to piece up by adjusting the Y-coordinates in ANSYS into 1 big model. 1) I must be able to adjust the number of elements using the global mesh controls finally. 2) Final model must also be as close to the original IGES surface geometry as possible. Surfacer need not be used and the procedure can be skipped if all the above can be done in ANSYS alone. 50% completion to be done in 1 month's time and another in 2 months. :)

Job requires usage of ONLY Simpleware, followed by Surfacer and finally, ANSYS I will provide set of .bmp images of a human male and female cadavers of the leg, about 1mm gap between each slide - from bottom of feet all the way up to the knees to be input into only Simpleware. 3D image of the 2 legs will then be processed using Simpleware. The image will then be sent to Surfacer to be processed before finally sending it to ANSYS to build up the final model. Finite Element Model analysis will then be done using ANSYS Details need to be as meticulous as possible and a write up on the steps and processes done need to be provided as well. Date of completion for at least half of the Simpleware part to be done in 1-2 weeks time. Whole project can take about 6 months...
The test problem in question is a turbulent flow over a 90o bend. This is more of help on using ANSYS workbench 12.1. I have created two ANSYS project files representing my problem of study. The problem is a cylindrical shaped part consisting of three different bodies. One of these bodies is made up of Piezo material. The problem is symmetric for now. Therefore I modeled only quarter the geometry. I tried to input the piezo command lines (piezo dielect and stress). However, it does not work (2D layer workbench project) or it works but not properly (3d-quart workbench project). Tasks: 1) How to input piezo material properties properly?
