This project is to develop a fresh and exciting brand identity but using our existing logo as the starting point. When I say the starting point, I mean use the same logo, but build on it to create some more visual graphics to use say as a footer on a letterhead etc. You can add another colour to the design if required. We require the following items: (Please make sure your submission includes all the below otherwise we will simply advise you to re-read the requirements.
- Business card. this must have all details on it as per our current letterhead, plus full name, job role and cellphone number
- Letter head. this must have all details on it, as per our current letterhead.
- ‘With Compliments’ slip. this must have all details on it, as per our current With Compliments slip.
- A5 sketch pad with small grid-lines and ruler down RHS on every tear-off page. This pad will be used by architects / installers etc so must have quality branding / design as everytime they use the pad they are seeing our brand
- Packaging tape. this must have our contact number 0800 80 3326 and website urbangroup.co.nz on it as well as our logo

The original logo and colours must be retained and used as your starting point, but we require added design elements that can be carried through and used in various ways on other promotional material as the logo itself is not enough. You are welcome to use more colours, or various shades of the orange and grey colours we are open to suggestions. The attached stationery are examples of what we have currently. We want to get rid of the small squares along the bottom of the page, and replace this with something else more effective, maybe with more colour / more eye-catching / more architectural - see examples below. It maybe that you create a graphic which can fade into the background, for example it might start full colour at the very bottom of the page, but then fade as it progresses up the page. we just need something "more" created for our brand so we have something to carry through onto other promotional material like online and paper advertisements.
If you wanted to add some words into the design, we would suggest "Innovative" "Flexible" "Strong" "Complete Solutions" etc.
The nature of the work we do is architectural. The squares in our logo represent something fitting together, straight lines of metal, structure and strength.
The design must have class and look very professional and architectural We are innovative and projects are individually designed and engineered. See the blog on our website www.urbangroup.co.nz for examples of the work we do – mainly balustrades or metal facades for construction projects and fencing for commercial / residential / schools.

Our logo colours are:
Orange R:243 G:110 B:50
Dark Gray R:97 G:95 B:99
Warm Gray R:126 G:119 B:114

Typography is:
CAMPTON Bold
DIN Medium
And for fonts such as emails / letters etc we use Microsoft Sans Serif

Print ready files must be provided as well as PDF. The letter head must be provided as an image (JPEG or similar)

Hi everyone. Please read the contest brief carefully - we need to use our same logo and colour, but add some extra feature to our stationary that links in with the logo design closely. Also, our brand needs to be represented with straight lines, not curved lines. Thank-you!
