PRODUCT DESIGN COMPETITION

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION:

* 1,500 mm Wide, 2,000 mm Long, max 1,500 mm High 
(height must include any legs, legs must not be taller than 200 mm)
* Metal Frame or Wood Frame inside will dictate general shape and size - our engineering team will design this based on the winning designs, adding foam for softness and curves
* Next, a soft fabric or PVC outer layer will provide the finish for design looks and touch
* Wood or Metal accents, or/or feet or other kind of decoration is OK
* Bonus consideration for incorporating some kind of tech., like touchscreen, adjustable mattress, loudspeakers, or contactless device charging but not necessary for all designs
* Bonus consideration for including some form of storage

COMPETITION RULES:

* 3D renders are desirable but not necessary
* Extra consideration will be given to designers who can provide full 3D renderings of their bed designs
* 7 days to submit your design from the start of the competition
* 6 designs will be selected as overall winners:
* 2 x low-cost beds ($99 - $199 RRP)
* 2 x middle-range priced beds ($199 - $299 RRP)
* 2 x high-end beds ($299+ RRP)
* For the online competition we will select 1 winning design for $100 bonus. We will then select the 6 overall winners and award them with $250 each by contacting the winning designers directly.
* Winning designs may even be produced and showcased at the Shanghai International Furniture Show Q3 2018
* Rights to all designs are transferred to the competition organiser on submission
