Company Logo Rebrand and Redesign (Gaming News)

We need a logo redesign for our gaming news website company. Our previous logo has a flag of a country (which we really like), but we recently change it to just blue and red because the symbol is prohibited to use in our country for logo.

For inspiration, please check this logo style: http://vadimcarazan.dribbble.com/

We Attached the new and old logo for references.

- It should have the Icon logo and the word logo "GAMINGPH" (We prefer the current font style, but it needs improvements - especially when it is used in the silhouette)

- A good example is the "Freelancer.com logo which has the Icon logo and a Word Logo". (please ignore the bird or eagle from the freelancer example)

- In the word logo, please come up with a better design to incorporate the blue "#0038a8" or red "ce1126" color, we prefer it on the letter "PH", you could also mix white (#FFFFFF) in it, keep the word "GAMING" white (#FFFFFF). But if you can think of a better and different approach, please don't hesitate to submit it.

- In the icon logo, please think of a simple but creative logo, like a geometric shape. This serves as the visual identity of our company.

- It should be unique, clean, modern and creative.

- no need to include the .com

- Submit many entries as you wish.

- The logo should work well in the Black and White background.

- Feel free to use other colors.

- The winning designer should provide the final logo in vector file format.

Following will be rejected:
- Use or reuse of design or icon from other contest (We already browse entries from other similar contest, please don't reuse it here)
- Using auto-generated icon
- Using other works
- Generic logo
